How SL Crawler worksThe Second Life Crawler engine gets its results from three different places; (a) sites or parts of sites selected by our editors, (b) sites or parts of sites submitted to our directory by users and (c) pages suitably tagged in the our supported social networks / bookmarking services. Adding a Single Page to SL CrawlerTo add a single page to our index, simply tag the page secondlife at one of the social networking sites we support; currently: del.icio.us, Technorati, Newsvine, IceRocket, Wink, Magnolia and Blinklist. We plan to expand suported our Network resources in future. Adding a Site or Part of a Site to SL CrawlerTo add your site or blog, please submit it to our second life directory, first choosing an appropriate category. Listing is free, as long as you return the favour by linking back to SL Crawler. Featured listings are available for an annual PayPal subscription. Note that if only part of your site relates to Second Life, then you should only submit that part. For e.g. http://yourdomain.com/secondlife/ Help us Improve SL Crawler ResultsOur network of editors collaborate to improve SL Crawler results. They do this by (a) adding new sites directly to our index, (b) excluding sites and pages which are not relevant for Second Life searches, and (c) boosting highly relevant pages and sites by marking them up. If you would like to become an editor, you will need to complete a short form and undertake a brief VOIP interview. |
