Community Powered SL SearchThe SL Crawler engine serves results from across the web which are relevant to Second Life residents. However, this relevance is hard won and relies on the efforts of our editorial community. Editors (a) actively exclude sites or pages which are not relevant, (b) boost highly relevant pages and sites by marking them up or (c) add new sites directly to our index. After you application has been madeOnce we have reviewed your submissions, we will contact you to arrange a short interview over VOIP (with Skype being our method of preference). The purpose of the interview is to establish whether you share our commitment to the directory, have the necessary cataloguing skills and will conduct your work to appropriate ethical standards. Don’t panic - it’s not the Spanish Inquisition - but we need to keep up our strandards, you know!
Once you have been accepted into the community, we provide you with the necessary editorial tools and show you how to undertake your work. Our site thrives on the passion and energy of our volunteers and we look forward to welcoming you into the SL Crawler team.
